Sherman Alexie: Ten Little Indians

Sunday, September 26th, 2004

Maybe one of these days, after reading this collection again, I will have time to go through every story of the book, and reread I will, these stories are so filled with real, living people, caught in this life. And like Virginia Woolf’s Mrs Brown, people like Corliss — who wanted to read herself to death and be buried in a coffin filled with paperbacks — will stay with me for a long, long time. Yes, the human experience, it is here.
